Friday Finds at the Store is a meme hosted by Jennay at My Tea Time is Book Time. It is totally easy and everyone can join. Basically just post the books you found at the bookstore or library. From the back cover of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

Ever since Harry Potter had come home for the summer, the Dursleys had been so mean and hideous that all Harry wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature who says that if Harry returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike.

And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor and a spirit who haunts the girls' bathroom. But then the real trouble begins---someone is turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly b
e Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts suspects...Harry Potter himself!

From the back cover of Sweethearts by Sara Zarr

As children, Jennifer Harris and Cameron Quick were both social outcasts. They were also each other's only friend. So when Cameron disappeared without warning, Jennifer thought she'd lost the one person who would ever understand her. Now in high school, Jennifer has been transformed. Known as Jenna, she is popular, happy, and dating---everything "Jennifer" couldn't be. But she still can't shake the memory of her long-lost friend.

When Cameron suddenly reappears, they both are confronted with memories of their shared past and the drastically different paths their lives have taken.

What did you find???

(both books were bought from a store called FullyBooked)

***Now go and grab your fave cup of tea or because it's Laurie Halse Anderson month...Laurie's fave: Earl Grey Tea (or whatever beverage you prefer) and HAPPY readings***

  1. ohhhh harry potter. I'm a die-hard fan forever :)

my newest find was mr. darcy, vampyre...also my current read!

  2. Nice, although it's a long time since first reading, I still love the story telling in JK Rowling's books.
Most recent buy was 'Quatre Filles Et Un Jean' - the complete series of the Travelling Pants stories - I love the series, and thought it would be a good way to practise my french.
