Dewey's Read-a-Thon...wrap up

Here's the End of Event Meme Time.

1. Which hour was most daunting for you?

It was hour 17 on. My mom received a surprise phone call from my Auntie and Uncle. They flew in and wanted to visit. So that kind of put a damper on my final hours of the read-a-thon.

2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?

I don't really know. I suppose it depends on your favorite genre. But it really helped me that I did a re-read of one of my faves. I also wished I had some of my childhood favorite books to read (especially after doing the mini challenge about childhood books).

3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?

No suggestions. I thought it ran great and I definitely felt the lurve from the cheerleaders this year : )

4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?

The cheerleaders seemed way organized.

5. How many books did you read?

I only read 1 1/2 : (

6. What were the names of the books you read?

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks and Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

7. Which book did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed both. AWTR is one of my all time favorite books. And PS is now a new fave : )

8. Which did you enjoy least?

This question is definitely not relevant for me.

9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?

n/a

10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?

Oh, I'll definitely participate again. This was my 3rd one and I'll do plenty more...yay!!! I would love to be a cheerleader again...maybe I'll be a cheerleader/reader for the April read-a-thons and just a reader for the October ones...hmmmm...we'll see : )

***Now go and grab your fave cup of tea (or whatever beverage you prefer) and HAPPY reading***

  1. Ah, just saw this now! I did the Readathon as well, and had to turn down tickets to a play (last minute invite) in order to stick to my reading plan :)
Already had a dinner and 8 hours of sleep planned...
